Web hosting can be a complicated matter, but we’re fortunate to work with great companies like HostGator and ClickHost that take care of the dirty work for us.  If you’ve ever wondered how all of the pieces come together, HostGator has just put together the infographic below that helps explain it all:

If you’re curious where your site fits into that picture, the vast majority of you likely use “shared hosting” as it’s the most economical and is the best solution for the majority of users.
