Meetup: The Creative Side of WordPress

abw-360

GreenMellen invited five local designers to join us at our most recent Meetup to discuss processes, best practices, tips and strategies for designing WordPress-based websites. Fill out the form below to check out the full recording of the Meetup and learn answers to questions such as:

  • Why do you like designing with WP?
  • How do you steer clients in the right direction when they inquire about web design?
  • What is your design process?
  • What are some resources you use for inspiration?
  • How do you stay up to date with trends?
  • How does messaging impact design?
  • What do you see as the future of web design?

Meet our awesome design panel:

Ali Green – Co-owner and Creative Director of GreenMellen Media. A gifted problem solver, Ali is able to convert a daunting mix of wishes, ideas and technical requirements into elegantly simple outcomes by clarifying client goals, stimulating their strategic and tactical thinking and solving development problems at each stage of a project, always with the end-user in mind.

Ashlea Lanier – Interactive Developer at GreenMellen Media. Ashlea’s gift is the ability to formulate the technical approaches that bring creative objectives to life. Her inventive balancing of the design and technical aspects of development is what makes GreenMellen projects so successful.

Chantelle Catania – Owner of Catania Creative and Art Director at GreenMellen Media. She understands that Design (with a cap “D”) is far more than decoration. It is the disciplined balance and simplicity that produces elegant functionality, a goal made possible only by her designer’s experience and disciplined adherence to a client’s objectives. Chantelle’s skills span small-business marketing as well as all print and digital media, so it’s no surprise that she works best when multi-tasking.

Alison Chandler – Owner and Designer at Alison Chandler.  Alison works with purpose driven brands to provide cohesive marketing materials such as logos, websites, and print collateral.

Roy Fleeman – Co-Owner at Gentleman with experience in building brands from the ground up.
