If you have a passion for following the biggest and hottest brands on social media, you know by now that Wendy’s is generating a bunch of buzz on Twitter. If not, let us bring you up to speed.

Recently, Wendy’s has been the reply king on Twitter and commenting back to anyone who argues/praises their “fresh, never frozen” burgers. It all started with this tweet and response:

Since then, this fast-food chain Twitter handle has been slamming their critics left and right with burns, responding to their followers with memes, and everything in between. Here are some of our favorites:

What makes Wendy’s Twitter so effective in the social media realm is their ability to put a clear face/personality to their brand. Connecting and engaging with and audience is so important for a brand to do on social, so it’s wise to spend a decent amount of time on it. This is not to say that your brand should be roasting your followers who criticize your brand on social media (even though it’s all in good fun), but the fact that Wendy’s responses sound human and are personalized to each tweet makes them a Twitter page to follow by example.
