Our tagline is “building a brighter web,” and it’s because we strive to make the World Wide Web a smarter, brighter place. We’ve been building websites since the mid-90’s and have been using WordPress since 2004, but we’re committed to never stop learning. Our team consumes thousands of blog entries each week, are voracious readers, and frequently attend events and conferences to stay sharp on the latest techniques and trends for everything from design to the latest search engine updates.
Perhaps more importantly, we believe in educating others. We volunteer at events such as WordCamp Atlanta, host a free monthly Meetup, and offer free training to every client when we build their website. Even if you don’t plan to update your website in the future, we feel it’s important that you know what you’re getting.
Everything we do is done with your best interest in mind. This can be little things such as not cluttering up your site with “designed by” links at the bottom, or bigger things such as always keeping you in mind for referrals when we see an opportunity. We believe that doing everything we possibly can to help you reach your goals will lead to a mutually beneficial long-term relationship.
We also believe that effective and responsive communication is key to the success of any project. We respond to email and other communication very quickly, by striving for goals such as “inbox zero” every day. While most tasks and projects will take time to complete, our rapid response to inquiries will keep things moving in the right direction at all times and ensure that you’re never left wondering if we received your request.
Building a site the right way can be a time-consuming process, and sometimes you simply need a website created very quickly or very inexpensively. If that is the case, we can connect you with some awesome partners and solutions. However, we believe that taking the time to work through a detailed website building process and really focusing on your clients yields the best results.
It’s easy to just “create a website”, but it’s a challenge to create a website that performs well. We follow all of the WordPress coding standards and best practices, do extensive testing on each site across various devices and platforms, and consult our detailed checklists through each phase of the process to make sure nothing is missed.
Our overarching belief is to provide freedom, even if that means the freedom to choose another vendor in the future. We don’t host websites because that’s a way for an agency to make it hard to leave. We use the industry-leading WordPress platform and follow best coding practices so that other agencies can pick up where we left off. We don’t make you sign lengthy contracts; any of our monthly plans can be canceled at any time.
At the end, this means that we have to work hard to keep you, which is ideal for both of us. It forces us to work hard to stay sharp and help your business do amazing things, and it gives you the flexibility to make whatever choices are best for your business without being boxed into a hosting or service contract.
