The Weekly ScoopGoodbye Google Authorship, Pinterest and a Present from Dropbox

This week’s Scoop is almost entirely about someone at Google making changes that will have the same impact as rearranging the living room furtniture.  Google decided to end Authorship (read our article), and then it stepped up features for iOS apps (for no one’s real benefit), added contacts to Hangouts (well, duh) and tweaked Google’s DoubleClick Publisher.

We found a cool article on How to Use Pinterest Messages for Marketing. This is a new feature, and if you’re in direct sales, this is an opportunity for you.

This week, if you’re a Dropbox user, you got an unexpected and pleasant surprise – Dropbox Pro Gives Subscribers 1TB of Storage as Cloud Wars Heat Up. Dropbox upped space for pro users to 1TB. If you are a pro-plus user, you also got a drop in your monthly fee! NICE.

What you missed on our blog this week: Should outgoing links open in a new window?
