eCommerce websites are becoming more and more prevalent in our lives, and it shows no signs of slowing down. If you have or plan to have an eCommerce website, your product pages need to be strategically designed for maximum eCommerce sales. These pages are more than a place to highlight the details; it is an opportunity to sell your brand.

You’ve worked hard on your digital marketing to get people to your site; now wow them with your product pages. Explore how you can make your product pages as efficient as possible.

It All Starts with the Product Name

The name of your products matter! It may sound like a no-brainer, but the simpler the name, the better. Try to avoid fluffy, obscure titles so customers can understand what the product is at first glance. This doesn’t mean your product names need to be stale, but they should still include what they are in the name.

Get Detailed

Did you know that 88% of consumers see detailed product content as very extremely important to their purchasing decisions? To make sure your product detail is written in your favor, keep these tips in mind:

  • Keep the voice consistent with your brand.
  • Describe the purpose and benefits of this product.
  • Keep it short (300 words or less).
  • Don’t get obscure or cutesy with it. Keep it straightforward.
  • Make sure the details about this are clear. Consider placing them in a bulleted list.

A Bold “Add to Cart” Button

The clear call-to-action (CTA) on your product pages is to have someone buy the product you’re offering, and to keep in line with CTA best practices, the “Add to Cart” button needs to stand out. Make this button a different color than what’s on your site and pop against all the other elements. Keep the placement of this button close to the product details or somewhere where it’s easy for the customer to find it.

Superb Photography

No one will buy your product if they cannot see what it is, so it’s essential to make sure you have top-notch photos of them. The goal of your eCommerce site as a whole is to create a seamless shopping experience from any device as if they were in your store, so think about the imagery from a strategic point of view. Ask yourself if showing the application of it is essential, do you need a model to show it off, what features do you need to highlight, does scale matter, and other things along those lines.

By answering these questions, it will give you a creative direction of how you need to showcase your products online.

Add Ratings and Reviews from Previous Customers

Amazon has proved that online ratings and reviews are becoming a huge factor in people’s buying decisions. No matter what platform your site is built upon, make sure reviews are enabled on your site. By allowing people to leave reviews and see other’s thoughts, it will build trust and also guide new customers making a clear purchase decision.

With the busy holiday shopping season underway, not is the best time to give your product pages and eCommerce site the chance to enhance your user experience and increase conversions!
