Jetpack 2.8: Introducing Markdown

Jetpack is the Swiss Army Knife of WordPress plugins, and it just added another awesome feature – Markdown.

If you want a simple and speedy way to write and edit rich text without having to take your hands off the keyboard or learn a lot of complicated codes and shortcuts, then Markdown might be right for you.

A sampling of things you can do with Markdown include:

  • compose links
  • lists
  • create styles like headings, italics, and bold
  • add images

User Tip: JetPack strongly suggests sticking with the “Text” tab in the Editor when using Markdown.
