GreenMellen is honored to be named as one of the top small businesses of 2022 by the Cobb County Chamber of Commerce. This is the second year in a row GreenMellen has received this honor after making the list in 2021.
All award winners will be recognized by the Chamber at the upcoming Small Business of the Year Awards Luncheon at the Coca-Cola Roxy.
About the Small Business of the Year Award
In 1982, the Small Business of the Year awards were established by the Cobb Chamber of Commerce to honor the important role that small businesses play in the Cobb community and the economy.
In 2004, the Top 25 small businesses were also showcased as the exceptional companies that keep Cobb influential and thriving. In 2012, the Small Business Hall of Fame was created to shine a spotlight on the growing number of businesses that continue to set the standard for small businesses very high.
To celebrate Cobb’s brightest business stars and up-and-coming businesses, the Cobb Chamber expanded its Small Business of the Year program to include the Businesses To Watch award in 2016. These businesses are on the rise—achieving incredible growth while launching just three years ago or less.
Now in 2022, the Chamber introduced two new award categories: the Next Level of Excellence Award is for those companies who have exceeded SBA size standards and are continuing to soar. The Community Service Excellence Award is presented to a small business that has made a significant contribution to its community through impactful works of service.
