Creating tiled galleries with Jetpack 2.1

Being a WordPress development company, we’re big fans of the Jetpack plug-in for WordPress.  It offers some excellent features for your blog, including social connections, stats, and even tools to help your site load faster.  In version 2.1 that was recently released, they’ve added some great features to the “gallery” function in WordPress, allowing you to create some very cool tiled mosaics.  Combined with the slick new media features in WordPress 3.5 and the existing “carousel” feature already present in Jetpack, you now have some tools to help you create a very impressive gallery in a matter of a few minutes.

To use these new mosaics, simply enabled the “Tiled Galleries” setting in your Jetpack options and you’ll see a selection of new options when you go to insert a gallery.  Below is an example of the basic “tiles” effect:

If you’re a client of ours, this feature is already installed and ready to go.  If not, you can download the free plug-in for it here.

If you have any questions or problems with it, leave a comment below and we’ll be happy to help out.
