GreenMellen specializes in clean, functional, well-branded website design. We pride ourselves in developing websites equipped with the features necessary to increase SEO, maximize the user experience, and update content quickly and painlessly.
The process behind building your new website is straight forward and interactive from start to finish. Each website we develop is based on WordPress, a powerful content management system, which provides you with the tools necessary to easily update your content, post blog entries, interact with social media, and increase your website’s search engine rankings.
To help you create a robust, feature-rich website, we work through the following steps to deliver a fully-customized design based around the WordPress framework.
1. Discovery
Before we start hitting the sketch books and throwing together fancy wireframes, we need to know a little about you – well, maybe a lot about you. It’s very important to us that your ideas are heard and your personality shines through on your website, so we always like to spend some time getting to know you first, whether it be in person, hanging out on Google+, or on Skype. Not only does this give us the most information about you and your company, but it also allows you to determine whether you’d like to work with us as well!
2. User Interface Design, Site Map and Prototyping
Once we have collected all the goals and objectives for your new site, we begin working with you to lay out an ideal user interface to communicate your message and a site map to help determine your page structure. We then get to wrap this interface with graphics that compliment your company’s brand.
3. Web Development
Once the design is approved and you’re ready to get this thing live, there is one more step that we must go through before it’s an official part on the internet — programming and development. This phase takes all the work we’ve done to create a great look and feel and makes it interactive using language such as HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
4. Add content
Once we have established a personalized look for your website, we will begin adding content such as pictures, text, and links to populate up to ten pages. We ask that you provide all copy and photographs, but if you need our help gathering these items we can certainly help out for an additional fee.
5. Web Management
Once your site is live, it doesn’t mean it’s complete. There is now traffic to be monitored, optimization strategies to consider, and content to keep current. We offer services to manage the pieces of the ongoing website management and would be happy to discuss those options with you based on your unique website.
6. Training
The final step is to provide you with the resources you need to manage your own website. You can choose to have an in-person 2-hour training session with our WordPress gurus, or opt for a virtual session to teach you the ins-and-outs of WordPress.
